Ito Torches Patriots for 5 Hits Sunday, July 14th , 2052 Katsumoto Ito put on a hitting clinic today as the Greenwood Gladiators dumped the Western Patriots 10-1 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The Greenwood right fielder made Western defenders earn their pay, lashing Western pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it." "Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Ito said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch." Katsumoto Ito doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
