Ed Tyler Chosen JAL's Top Player
Thursday, September 26th , 2052
At the age of 24, Ed Tyler of the Delmarva Demons could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2052 was good enough to win the center fielder the John Adams League Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .277 batting average this year, as well as a .381 on-base percentage. He played 109 games and racked up 117 hits, 20 doubles, 9 triples, 38 home runs, 74 RBIs and 96 runs scored.
He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Arturo Solís of the Caprica Buccaneers finished second in voting, while Wan-hua Sun of the Fremont Farmers finished third.
