His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 23-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the John Adams League Reliever of the Year Award for 2052.
The Sanger, California native won the award with 34 saves in 57 relief appearances, 86 strikeouts in 72.2 innings and a record of 6-6 to go with his 2.11 ERA.
