TJL's Top Player, Rose of Surprise Monday, August 26th , 2052 One of the league's most exciting young players, Doug Rose of the Surprise Surprise earned himself Thomas Jefferson League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 23-year-old second baseman had a lofty .500 average (12-for-24), collecting 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This season Rose has banged out 117 hits in 445 at-bats for a .263 average with 27 home runs. He is getting on base at a .347 pace and his totals also include 80 RBIs and 65 runs scored. |
