Abes Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, August 22nd , 2052 It's the better-luck-next-time point of the season for the Zanarkand Abes. The club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today, and will turn their attention to next year's campaign. "You know, the average player doesn't get that many seasons, so every time you're eliminated, it hurts," said Abes starting pitcher Peyton Chambers. This is the club's 8th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2044.In total, the Abes have missed the playoffs 35 times in their 43-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Abes have only made the playoffs once. |
