Lakers Rivera Snags JAL Player of the Week Monday, August 19th , 2052 So far in his young career, Armando Rivera has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the John Adams League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Trois Rivieres Lakers shortstop hit at a torrid .519 clip as he collected 14 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this season Rivera has put up a .204 batting average with 79 hits, 15 home runs and 61 RBIs. |
