Rose Red-Hot, TJL Player of the Week Monday, June 17th , 2052 Doug Rose burst onto the Thomas Jefferson League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for Surprise garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .529 (9-for-17) with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs last week. So far this year Rose is batting .272 with 12 home runs. |
