Big Bang! 3 HR for Westeros's De La Cruz Tuesday, May 21st , 2052 It was a day for the record books for Westeros White Walkers third baseman Jim De La Cruz, who walloped three out of Prairie Dogs Ballpark against the Quarrymen. However, not even a three-homer game could prevent the Quarrymen from taking the 11-6 victory. "We threw some good pitches and they hit 'em, and we made some bad pitches and they hit 'em. That's a good strategy for losing ballgames," Westeros skipper joked after the loss. De La Cruz still had a few opportunities to celebrate along the way. He was 3-for-5 for the day, batting in 5 runs and scoring 3 times. "I never, ever thought I would hit three home runs," De La Cruz said. "I hit three home runs once when I was 12 in Little League and I thought that was going to be the last time." Jim De La Cruz hit a solo-shot off Jim Knutsen in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Knutsen in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Valentín Valdés in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. |
