Totten Fashions No-Hitter Against Wannabees
The Colonial Heights Canines were just hoping for a solid outing from John Totten. Instead, they got something special.

The 19-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter against the West Bloomfield Wannabees, helping the Canines take the 3-0 win.

"I felt good throughout the game," he said after his spectacular outing for the Canines. "As I was going into the ninth inning, I wasn't nervous. I knew I had a chance to do something special."

Totten's repertoire has a fastball, changeup, curveball, and splitter, and he used it all to full advantage, keeping the West Bloomfield hitters off balance all game long. The Colonial Heights hurler fanned 10 and walked 3 in his history-making performance.

"His fastball looked about the size of a watermelon seed and it hissed at you as it passed," West Bloomfield manager joked after the game.

So far this season Totten has a record of 12-7 with 190 strikeouts and 63 walks in 181.2 innings and a 2.18 ERA.
