Dávila Brilliant, Blanks Blizzards | It wasn't easy but the Seney Swampmonsters made it look that way.
Starter Rafael Dávila shut out the Louisville Blizzards despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Seney Swampmonsters cruised to victory, 5-0. Dávila allowed only 4 hits and rang up 5 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
In pitching stats this season Dávila has rung up 6 wins and 3 losses in 14 games. He has an ERA of 1.72 and has fanned 69 batters in 89 innings. | |
