Everything was working for Wiley Berry today at Lawmen Ballpark. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The curveball was working.

In an unforgettable performance, the 27-year-old Berry fanned 15 Surprise and sparked the Charleston Shrimp N Grits to a 8-2 victory over Surprise. He left Surprise hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.

"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Charleston manager . "His location and command were really something."

In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 9 innings, Berry allowed 6 hits and no walks in a superlative outing.

"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Berry said with a smile.

In 14 starts this year Berry has recorded a 5-7 record and a 3.49 ERA.
